Entebbe Municipal Council (Uganda) (2025)
Project Title: Preliminary Design Services of Entebbe City Roads Project
Contractor: China Overseas Engineering Group Company (COVEC)
Year: 2025
Challenge: Entebbe’s rapid urbanisation has outpaced its municipal road network. Many links remain unpaved, drainage is under-capacity, and walking/cycling provision is fragmented or absent—driving up travel times, crash risk, flooding, dust, and road user costs.
Solution: GLINCE prepared preliminary designs and costs estimates for the proposed roads. Designs are context-sensitive to land use, right-of-way constraints, and the city’s strategic functions (airport/CBD/tourism) and the vulnerable road users.
Kenya Ports Authority (2023)
Project Title: Design and Construction Supervision of Widening of Port Road from Gantry Workshop to One Stop Centre
Consortium: East African Engineering Consultants
Challenge: Congestion and inefficient road access around the Mombasa port area affected operations and logistics flow.
Solution: GLINCE led detailed surveys and traffic modelling, developed a microscopic simulation model of the port area, and produced geometric designs, drainage layouts, and construction documents. Our contributions are enabling smoother traffic flow, improved safety, and efficient cargo movement into and out of East Africa’s busiest port.
